I've read all the threads on other sites moreover all the maps I can scrounge from the 'net and am wondering now if White Wash is guide or GPS-track mandatory for 1st timers there.

In any event, my son and I along with two others are going either April 6, 7 or 8th. We're camping in Green River; two of the days we are doing San Rafael Swell north and south (a repeat for us) and some SE Moab trails (just to be done with them).

I have some waypoints and directions around the wash; Dead Cow, etc. though the resolution is too coarse to inspire confidence for first timers like us let alone me willing to bank a day on getting lost or off course. Moab and the Swell areas are well mapped yet White Wash eludes my old skool-mapping/trail-finding skills. There is hope as my son and another have bought GPS devices just for this trip and beyond. Is this all we need? I don't want to invite the world as my last two yearly trips to Utah were dampened my an ever increasing group and the associated logistics.

I see the GPS info out of the Super 8. Is that still valid? I'm thinking it'd be better to drive to the wash on Ranch Road.

My son and I have 70-mile+ range before reserve. One in our group has Gas Gas (big tank but guzzler) and the other a new Husaberg 390 with unknown consumption. Therefore the loop(s) ought to be restricted to 50 miles max. We are reasonable novice/intermediate, to expert (not me!) ex-enduro types, and like single track and box canyons but want to do White Wash for something different than the other two. Thanks.

So if anyone is willing to share WW tracks, we'd appreciate it, or be our guide - dinner at Ray's on me or donations to this site, trail effort, etc. We are flexible on the three days above (sorry: a weekend day is not possible).

Dubinki ! or White Wash - Dead Cow - Ten Mile - Dripping springs

That area can be an absolute maze ! Box Canyons and drop offs ! Pay Attention !
that being said it is one of the most amazing places on the planet to ride !
Take a look at the big view so that if you do get turned around you can get out
I -70 is a solid border 12 miles to the North. The moab road is a solid border to the east. and the Green river cuts off the corner on the west and south. If you go straight east from dripping springs at the end of Ten mile you come out at the airport on the road to moab.
Have Fun

Check out this map of the area, very good map but check the BLM sight for some of the closures. I downloaded it and had it enlarged to a full size map at Copy Copy.

Thanks man, I've ridden there, but never had a map.
