Is Jarad or Tommy Letchenberger in here somewhere? I looked at who's online but no one uses their real name but me.
I saw the video and was wondering if you could fill me in on what happened after he crashed. Did a helicopter come and get him? Why did they take him to Arrowhead? Was that the closest? Was the crash on Friday? Why were you guys in the emergency room Saturday afternoon?
Please help me fill in the blanks now that the cat is out of the bag. Do you know what that means or am I acting old?
Jonathan's nurse said he is trying to talk but his throat is very sore. Jared said he had a really cute nurse when he was there a couple of Sunday's ago. She looked like Heather Locklear but Jonathan was in the coma and missed her!
Oh well, write me back please.
Linda

Hi Linda this is Tommy Lechtenberg,

He crashed Friday afternoon in Adelanto, I guess its standard procedure to call in a helicopter when someone breaks a femur because of an artery in your upper leg. So life flight picked him up and took him to Arrowhead(not sure why arrowhead, we heard there was another hospital closer). He knew right away that he broke his femur, but he didn’t seem in that much pain. And he was completely coherent. Friday night we saw him and he was in his room on the 5th floor and was still fine.(we then gave him his phone). Towards the end of the night he began falling in and out of sleep rather suddenly. He went to bed around 10pm. We arrived at the hospital the next day in the afternoon thinking he probably had surgery and was recovering. Instead, we were directed to the ICU where he was connected to all sorts of machines and was not responding(phone is now in the rinse cycle). He would sometimes open his eyes a little and he would also move his good leg. The next day wasn’t any better.

Linda I’ll message you my phone number, feel free to call anytime if you have anymore questions.

On a side note—if the nurse was a president, she would be Baberaham Lincoln

Hey Linda it's Jarad, The crash was friday afternoon. Arrowhead was the closest hospital (about 40 minutes from the track) and yes life flight came and got him. Femur break is automatic heli ride because there is a high risk of bleeding to death,

After we loaded up we went to the hospital and hung out with Jon for the rest of the night, Jon gave us the scoop, said he was having surgery in the morning (Saturday) so go riding and by the time you get back here maybe he could leave or at least leave sunday morning. He told us not to say anything because he didn't want you to worry and didn't want to hear all the the crap from (Moto utah heads) and he would let everyone know when we were back home. So Saturday I called Jon in the morning with no answer, figured he was in surgery so we went riding, On our way back to the hospital, I got a call from Tracee (My Wife) saying jon is not responding, We got the the hospital to find out Jon did not have surgery yet and the Docs didn't know what was wrong with him. I believe thats when they called you?

Has far as the Cat and Bag go. . . What cat? I don't have a cat and maybe Jon does? We better check I bet he's hungry by now, I have an Ogio Gear bag Maybe a cat came out of it? it does smell funkalishious, Probably just moto socks. I do have a Hello Kitty air freshener in my gear bag is that what your talking about?

Yes I know what that means, you must not be old. . .

If he got out of the bag, put a sock on his head and put him back in the bag and tie it up tight. Then throw it off the bridge again and hope it works this time. Damn cat.

When Jon gets around to reading all of this stuff, he's going to be pissed that there are two different threads like this is some sort of desert race report. One of the admins ought to show him some respect and combine the two.

not true,

cats are good for shot-put practice, triple flips, and extra weight on fan blades

That sounds like Jon not wanting to worry anyone and then when he is home recovering and such let the cat out on what really happened... which is about the time us moms want to kick our son's ass's!! It's just a "mom" thing I suppose and/or a wife thing. Anyhow, Jon has constantly been in both McLaine and my prayers and thoughts. We truly wish him a speedy recovery, we are running out of stickers! Mac got a new bike and I have a new Durango and we need the Local Hero touch on them both!!!

God bless you Linda and your hubby, along with all of Jon's close friends.
