MotoUtah: Motocross and Off-Road Riding in Utah

I recieved an email from Kevin a couple of days ago with an update on Amanda while she is racing the spring nationals in Texas. I had the opportunity to ride with and watch Amanda race last month at the Mammoth qualifier held at RynoLand in California. She has really stepped it up and is faster than ever.

Amanda won the Girls 9-16 85-105cc class at Lake Whitney. She went 1-1 and had a 28 second lead over second place in the last moto.

She was 7th against the women on big bikes.

Now we are at Oak Hill. They have a different class structure here so she is racing against big bikes. She took 4th in the first moto, worked her butt off but the 112cc is no match for a good rider on a 250F in the sand. She made the supermini main event here, took 7th in the LCQ. Today we race against the girls on big bikes again, then the first moto of the supermini.

I think we will be done racing Friday. It's been fun but we are ready to get home.
