MotoUtah: Motocross and Off-Road Riding in Utah

So I have done a couple of the team races now and they are a ton of fun, but it would be cool if you could both ride your own bike (and still get the team racing points). I was thinking that it would be cool if in the team race they did something so you could. Like you have to change the tire from one bike to the other or something like that. All the team would pit in one area and people could watch as the guys fight to get the tire off of one wheel and on the next. You could change the front or the back so any bike would work. Got idea or stupid what you think

Join a club and then propose it as a rule change.

Thats a great idea. I know when our group has talked about team racing, the size difference between the riders has been a big issue. I'm 5'-8" and a riding friend is 6'-5". No matter who's bike you rode the differences would be hard to over come.

That has been one thing that has made me hesitate about team racing. I am very particular about how my bike is setup to fit me.

Whenever I get on a buddies bike to try, I always feel out of place. Like this guy is built weird. He probably says the same about me while he is riding my bike.

I think the issue with this is the fender tape has to be marked at each check point and once the tape has been stuck on a bike, if you try to switch it, it no longer sticks to the fender as well. You would have to come up with a special marking system for the teams maybe.
