The pre-sign up on the web is now open for the March 27th Firebirds race. Sorry for the delay.

Very cool. Nice to see a club jumping into the 21st century!!

Couple questions.

I looked at your sign up page; all pretty straightforward, but it doesn't indicate how you do the checkout. Is it visa, google checkout, paypal or???? maybe all of the above?? Is it secure?

It may be a good idea to add a little blurb about how you can pay online. I would have tried it, but I want to make sure I survive Knolls tomorrow before I commit to the 27th!!

Also- when I click on the "I have read and fully understand these terms" link at the bottom I get the dreaded 404 Page not found.

Re:FirebridsMC.com web pre-sign up open 1 year, 10 months ago #95008

According to the online sign up, the Women's class only pays $35. Is this correct? Normally we pay the standard big bike registration fee. If it's supposed to be $45 will you be collecting the remaining $10 the day of the race? If it really is $35, will those of us who have pre- signed be refunded $10 the day of the race?

The mail in deadline must be postmarked a few days ago. Is there a deadline for the online pre-sign?

I don't want to postpone, but I've got to get into a motor problem and make sure I'm going to be ready...and won't know for a day or two.

Hopefully you'll still accept until mid-week??

Thanks!

Couldn't help but notice your repost. My question has gone unanswered as well. Hopefully he'll reply the the e-mail I just sent him since both contact phone numbers went to voicemail.

I looked at your question before, and though I didn't see the format of the online payment, I assumed there is just a difference in Womens and Beginning Women class, which would be the $35 like the mini classes?
*Is the big bike women class essentially the sport women class from last year?

Beginning Women run with the minis. Women run with the big bike novices. The Sportswomen class from last year was done away with. The Women's class has always been in place, so I'm not quite sure why the Sportswomen's class from last year was even created.

Answers have arrived!!!!

Online registration will be shut off tonight.

Women's Class- if you only paid $35, you were signed up in the Beginning Women's class. You must e-mail Travis ASAP to have this corrected AND you will have to pay the additional $10 on Saturday.

Actually the rule change of the "sportswoman" class is very much still in tact except they are just calling it the "womans" class but, the rules behind it are very much there. The sportwoman class was set up as a stepping stone for beginning women to move up to big bikes and get their own start as to not be apart of the crazy novice racing. Part of this rule change was also to eliminate big bikes being out on the mini course with the kids, therefore making it a little bit safer. The "old" woman class started and raced with the novices. The "new" womans class according to 2010 rulebook are supposed to get their own start and do 1/2 the distance in hare scrambles. It was actually set up for women like you.

I would say nice attempt at the dig, but it was, yet again, pathetic! I forget how long you've been in the racing community Chris. Are you going on 4 or 5 years now? I'm so happy we have experts on the topic, like yourself, to correct us when we are wrong. Wait a second, I wasn't wrong. Like my post above said, the Women's class has always been in place and not quite sure why the sportwomen's class was created. Genius! I never said I knew the rules, but nice post on Facebook! I did hear, however; there were numerous complaints about unsportsman- like conduct by the women who used to be in the beginning women's class. Kind of funny when you think about it. All the years the complaints have been the same but nothing to the effect of what this "woman" was doing. I've never made any claim about my abilities and have always said; I only attempt to race and do it for fun. I don't have my head so far up my man's gluteus maximus that while I race, I would leave another rider down when they need help. My man also does not need to speak falsities on my behalf in an attempt to severe any civil communication with the other female racers. The "new" women's class doesn't have their own start, we've been starting with the novices. I hope they keep it that way, too. It's a shame when a couple of unsportsman- like whiners come along and want everything changed to fit their precious wants and needs. Hell, what I need is a freakin' john at the start.

So, Slave, oops! I mean Chris, oops! I mean quaddawg; thanks anyway for your input!

Dawnell-- What in the world are you going off about?! The only time I've ever had someone come at me in Beg. W omen's was like 1/2 way through the year - some dad was upset because I took his daughter's line. We talked it out, told him I meant no harm, and ultimately resolved the issue and he apologized for getting so upset publicly?! Other than that, I'm not aware of any action on my part being regarded as intentionally harmful?! Since you're so hell-bent on calling me out, I'd really appreciate it if you (or anyone else on this forum) would very candidly let me know what issues need to be addressed and resolved as a result of some upset or offense I've caused.

I don't recall any "unsportsmanlike" behavior on my part, so please let me know what this jab is a result of. And I certainly don't recall "leaving another rider down" that needs help. I've actually stopped at many checkpoints and reported downed riders AFTER I've stopped and made sure they're OK. I've helped little kids over those gate ramp things, and picked bikes and kids up, helped up hills, and ALWAYS apologize and make sure the kids I rode with were OK if there was a collision. I always felt terrible gettin twisted up with a little kid on my 250, which was largely the reason I wanted a Sport Women's class! I wanted to get my big bike outta there, and still give myself an opportunity to "bridge the gap" between the Big Bike race and my limited experience and strength.

I'm still standing by the concept of the Women's Sport class- the rider numbers speak for themselves; I don't see the need to argue.

Lastly, I'm not trying to "sever any communication" with anyone - man or woman! I pretty much like everyone, except people who I've TRIED to resolve conflicts with, who see the need to attack me on public forums instead of just TALKING to me?! Dude, I've tried multiple times to make sure you're ok, that you're not mad, and I just can't understand why you're so amped up?! Seriously - you're bringin' me down! Just calm down, have fun, and stop the drama?! Jeeze! Sure sounds and feels like you're lookin' for a fight?! If you have something to say, just say it. Don't squirrel around the issue, please.

I'll try to be more aware of my actions, make sure my "sportsman" radar is kicked up top-notch.
In the meantime, I hope that before you call me a "whiner" you check yourself. Sure sounds like you are the only one whining.

Ah, ha, ha, ha!!! No one said your name Christie. Guilty conscience??? Pretty sad if you ask me! I have yet to check my PM's ..... I'm guessing I got drunk PM'd yet again??? No one is bringing you down but you and your attitude. MU is NOT the majority of how people feel about you. So, sorry! Your boy ruins enough for you! When you have an issue with me, confront me. Don't have your boy text my friends. Last but not least, you DO NOT speak on behalf of any club. If one of your PM's is a threat on their behalf again, get a life! Your fellow racers acknowledge your creepy obsession with Trish. We all know you moved into the women's class for an easy trophy and jacket. The thing is Christie; I'm the only one who dares say it to your face!!

I would chip in five bucks to see these two mud wrestle on saturday. What do ya say ladies? We could make it an annual event, race then wrestle a firebirds tradition. I will even get it on video for ya.

Dawnell- I'm not stupid? There are only a handful of us in the Beg. Women's, and you've had a personal vendetta against me all season. I've tried to figure out where this is all coming from, why you're so tuned up, and I've actually TRIED to care about your feelings and opinions, truly! I CALLED you and TEXTED you personally to figure out what your deal is and I've TRIED my best to make things better with you?!! But I just can't anymore - it's clear your panties are in a wad, and despite my efforts, you're deciding to twist the knot tighter and tighter. I can't make things right for someone who ALWAYS has a problem and ALWAYS comes lookin' for a fight with ANYONE?! I'm in a lose-lose situation with you. I don't much care how people "feel about me" - especially people who clearly can't even TRY to be nice and care about how I feel?! If anyone else is talking about me behind my back, they are cowards and I don't care about how they feel or what they think.

Aside from being a total nut-job, you are not a nice person! Since you've been on this site, all you do is insult people and bring a whole bucket-load of negativity to every sphere you're in! You play nice, but on the flip-of-a-switch, you turn into a crazy person, and a mean girl.

Look, I have way way more important things to worry about, and absolutely nothing left to say to you. I will come talk to you at Firebirds and we can figure out a constructive way to resolve whatever legitimate issues you may have. At this point, I really don't see any.

Insult and attack me once - bad on you, I'll let it go. Do it again- bad on me.
