I would like to do this one!! Just don't know if I could hold on to by bike that long LOL

then find a buddy to do it with you as a team! Just get out there and enjoy.

Any idea on the entry fee for ironman?

I looked around on the BORR site and didn't see any details about the bike race...except that it will follow USRA rules.

I'd like to know the time of race, miles, if it's a loop ( I think this one is ) or any other sign up details....like we see on USRA flyers.

If it seems possible to get back for superX, it would be interesting to do this race. I'd normally just say I'd like to do the long race, but since I'd like to be able to watch the races that evening, I might be interested in a team even where riders could ride their own bikes.

bikes, quads, utvs start at dawn and are scheduled to be wrapped up by 11am. entry fee is 75 I believe for solo. Not sure about a team effort. The course is a 100 mile loop in the form of a figure 8 with the pits in the middle.

That sounds interesting.

So the bikes do one loop or do we get to do three?

Yup. The more miles the better. I think it will be hard to find people to train with that want to ride lots and lots of miles. Plus I'd love to see a long race thats that close. I'm sick of driving to nevada and mexico.

The race should be awesome. Why else would they put a picture of me on the flyer? Hahaha.

I did this race last year and it was awesome. I will be there this year as well, since it doesnt seem that USRA is having quads this year in there series except for knolls.

4 out of the first 5 races in USRA Desert are no quads. Nice! Now im glad I chose to do the mx series.

I'll go out on a limb here and assume that by "there" you mean the USRA? Note to all the quad racers and all racers for that matter.....other than the Charity Race (put on by volunteers from many USRA clubs) the USRA doesn't put on races. Races are put on by a bunch of VOLUNTEERS. These VOLUNTEERS are just like you, only they are in a club and put on races providing the racers with a sport to participate in. If YOU want to have quad races, then YOU should join a club or start a club and put on quad races. NOBODY owes you a race. Get involved and improve your sport if you aren't happy, or "pretty sick of the way there running things now".

If the clubs did do quad sections to the races, how many quads would show to race? Would it be worth a bunch of VOLUNTEERS time, to make sure there is a great race for you if there are enough of you participating? I for one would not be apposed to helping build and mark out loops for quads if we brought in enough racers????

Just as AJP said, join, participate and donate.. if some of you guys on quads join the clubs, or even build a club, i think you may find more capability of adding quad loops JMO

It does look like a cool race. If had not already put in for my vacation for the other races I have planned for the year I would love to do this race. As it is I am on duty that saturday and I am having to save as much leave as I can as I am looking at paramedic school here shortly which I have to use my vacation hours for.

I understand that davey lindsay is involved with borr as a quad representative I think this is the series I will be participating in next year. I have never seen the buggies race, hope to in the near future.
