Dear BLM, I 100% support the OHV track and trail system you are working on at West Mountain in Payson, Utah.
This project is a great use of public lands and OHV use is a legitimate use of our public lands. There is and has been a great need in Utah Valley for such a facility for decades. This project would improve the West Mt. area for the public in general and I am very pleased that the BLM is considering such an improvement to the management for the area.
Management with cooperation from Utah County, Payson City, Utah State Parks and Recreation, local business (Rocky Mountain ATV/MC) and local Clubs and organizations, is a very good idea. I also know of hundreds of volunteers, such as myself and family, who are willing and anxious to help maintain and support the proposed use of the area. It is close to home and it is something our family loves to do together
It is apparent that the partners of this project have done a great job to consider the needs and concerns of adjoining property owners and the public’s needs.Although there are always those who whine and are against OHV use of any kind on public land, please consider those of us who are doing our best to treat our land well while enjoying our sport. Our family would like to see this project completed for the entertainment and recreation this facility will provide. It is long overdue, a great place to recreate, and is certainly needed.
