MotoUtah: Motocross and Off-Road Riding in Utah

My sons and I went rideing out at desert peak to day. 2-6-2010 The track was awesome. Best I have seen it. The dirt was perfect. I was wondering if eney boady had some info on Gary Powells cond. He was taken to the hospital by ambulence. He had a hard landing and thought he may have broken his back. I hope he is OK we need all the old guys in good shape for the starting of the motocross seasson.

local now gary,does any one know what happened to gary?info people!

I believe Dena3171 was referring to Deseret Peak - out in Tooele. Most people just refer to it as the "Tooele Track". If you haven't been there, you can get more info in the Track guide by clicking on the Utah Ride Guide above.

It's definitely too sloppy. Probably won't work at all this year, or next, or next. That pretty much goes for all tracks around here. Better stick with Knolls.

Mac has been riding at the Tooele track and it's dry.... I was there watching last night for a bit, got to see SlowDad's boys which was nice but I actually seen some dust in places. No storm in the near future which makes it good for riding but horrible in trying to fill that mountain lion tag that McLaine drew this year. Come on out our way and enjoy,

Gary says he was down for a few days, but is feeling better. Thanks to all those who have concerns. He says he will make it up to the races this weekend....
