After a couple of years of limited riding on an old XR600, I've purchased a CRF450x and hope to get much more serious this season.

Here's my issue. I bought the bike a couple of weeks ago, but haven't had a chance to ride it yet, other than in the parking lot where I bought it.

I live in Orem. My inclination is to go to 5 Mile Pass, but I'm wondering if there is anyplace closer this time of year, even it its not a great ride. I'm hoping for an after work ride, just to satisfy the Jonesing I'm having each time I pull into the garage...

Camchez OFFLINE Platinum Boarder Posts: 1355 Karma: 0	Just go ride in the hills west of Saratoga Springs. There are trails that go up over the hills beut be careful on the south end, they do a lot of shooting down there.

Hey man I live in Lehi, so let me know when your thinking of going. 5 mile is really the closet. but you can ride Lake Mt, it's okay, Mainly dirt roads, but some trails as well. I found a single track out there that was pretty sweet, but pretty technical too. If you ride up top (from the backside) it's an incredible view of the lake. Canchez is right, watch out for the shooters on the south end. believe or not I have actually been shot at out there Mt biking, made me want to go home and grab an AR. anyway look me up if your going out there somewhere.

Since the closest riding to Orem is Mtn. Single track which is snowed in for a while yet the others are right the next best thing would be 5mp or some of the jeep roads on lake mtn and there is already some riding at West mtn in payson but you'd also have to be cautious of people shooting there right now as well. In the months to come this shouldn't be as much of a problem with them putting a track there and some other more managed trails.
