MotoUtah: Motocross and Off-Road Riding in Utah

I'm an intermediate rider looking to have some fun in the Swell and/or White Wash area. Not interested in 5MOH or Red trail (yet) but would be game for more moderate stuff. I've never ridden the Racetrack or White Wash and could use someone to show me around (and maybe help me over a thing or 2).

At this point, I'm solo. Potentially could be there Friday afternoon, all day Sat and Sun AM.

Anyone interested in joining for all or part? Any other groups open to another rider?? The weather looks AWESOME!

Dave I like your political views. You'r welcome to ride with us down there anytime. We usually go down Fri., Sat., Sun. after Thanksgiving. We know White Wash, Ten Mie area pretty well. Not so much the swell, but have been there and can figure a few things out. We stay in Green river and drive out each day. Let me know if you want to hang with us.

Thanks for the offer Brad!! I wish I could come back out after Thanksgiving, but that won't work for me. Hope you guys have a blast!!! I'll keep you in mind for future trips.

The Red trail isnt that hard of a trail. Its actually pretty fun. It looks like the weather will be great this weekend for riding the Swell.

Hey Dave, you may be in luck. A famiy ride is scheduled for us. We are all intermediate level and heading out to the Swell/Dead Cow/10 Mile area for a day of riding this weekend.
Most of the group will be there on Friday, all staying in Green River - Super 8 (good rates plus nice hot tub). They will be doing some riding Friday afternoon...the other part of this group will arrive Friday evening and then on Saturday, we plan on riding from Green River out to the main trail head from the Geyser. Its mostly trail riding and exploring, nothing really fast..but a good time.
If you come out, stop by Super 8, ask for the Peterson family or for Steve Milner.

Sorry I didn't hook up with you guys, but I really appreciate the willingness to let me join you. Maybe some other day??

I got an offer to go camping/riding right after I posted my inquiry and had to throw everything together quickly, so wasn't able to check for more responses. Your ride sounds like it would have been perfect for me and we actually ended up at the Geyser too! We were there Sat around noon. I'll check out your photos tonight to see what looks familiar. We camped at White Wash and rode Fri-Sun.

I hope to get into the Swell come springtime. Maybe we can hook up then for the Dick Brass trails and maybe waterfall and the racetrack?

Sorry we missed riding with you...we had a blast. Besides White Sands area...another good place is 40 miles west near Goblin Valley area...called Temple Mountain. Area reminds me of an old John Ford western movie scene.
Hope you catch you in the spring...btw..on those videos..the hill climb ones don't do that justice...I didn't get the shot where one rider almost did a long backwards two step....dang the batteries.

We have ridden Waterfall, Behind the Reef and just this past weekend we rode Devil's Racetrack. I highly recommend them all, especially Devi's Racetrack. That thing was FUN!!!

Hey Steve, I am an old friend of the Elf and his son. Do they MU?

Would love to ride that area...maybe you can lead a ride out there for our group next Spring...

Hey Brad, good question..but alas..no, neither of them MU. Remember Elf, struggles remembering how to turn his system on...and Clark is so jammed now a days...its rare for him to go online. Best way is the old fashioned phone. We had a great ride...Elf is still in good riding form...and Clark walks past me doing a wheelie still.

Nice pics Steve! Looks like lots of fun with a good group. We went to Crystal Geyser as part of our ride and perhaps that was where you were too in your second geyser pics? I didn't see the tube, so hard to tell other than the discolored rock around it...but maybe they all look the same in that regard.
